Great wines reflect the qualities of the land, the climate, and the people that bring them into being. We know that the unique nature of the Okanagan will soon yield wines as identifiable as those from Bordeaux, Burgundy, or Napa—distinctly Okanagan wines, rich in flavour and character.

At Painted Rock, we intend to be at the forefront of this development, producing superb wines, carefully crafted from our estate-grown grapes. The particular microclimate of our vineyard, combined with the meticulous attention of our vineyard team to crop load, water, nutrients, and canopy, are already producing outstanding grapes on healthy vines, and promise to do so year after year.

From these grapes will come the wines we expect to be emblematic of the emerging Okanagan region. Our winemaker, Gavin Miller, in consultation with Alain Sutre, of Etrus Consultants (Bordeaux), is offered every possible advantage: regular meetings with the vineyard team, a superior knowledge of the terroir, and state of the art winemaking equipment. Together, we look forward to achieving our collective goal of truly great, world class Okanagan wines!
